Why Choose Tutoring Cafe?

Why Choose Tutoring Cafe?Tutoring Cafe is the perfect solution for your child who needs a little extra tutoring or lesson planning to help them with their homework, or even for you, if you find that you're having trouble planning your next meeting, meeting of the club, school assembly or other event. What is the difference between a tutoring cafe and an online tutoring service? To begin with, you are not dealing with a tutor, or to be more specific, an online learning consultant. A tutor in this case would probably know all the answers to the questions asked, and many things about your child as well. However, you are dealing with a tutor who provides support to your child in his or her school work, rather than a school or tutor.Tutoring Cafe is designed in such a way that a tutor can also provide you with support at the same time. This way, both you and your child benefit from the tutoring cafe experience. You could request for an in-house tutoring session for yourself, as well as a r equest for the tutor to go on a day out with you so you can plan a picnic or family outing together. If you have your child's parent or guardian, they will also be happy to offer suggestions on how the tutor could be best used. When a tutor meets with his/her students, they will need to provide you with some information about the child in question. For example, if you are expecting your child to excel in an essay, they may need to tell you whether they are very good at writing and reading, or whether they need extra help on spelling and grammar. This information can come straight from the tutor Shop, so don't worry about trying to manipulate the tutor. You will have access to tutoring information before you actually book a tutoring session with the tutor. This will give you an idea about the tutor's experience and how they are able to deal with various types of students. The best tutors will have a wide knowledge of what is expected of students, as well as what students actually need. In addition, tutoring is quite different from one tutoring cafe to another. The biggest advantage of Tutoring Cafe is that you have several different tutoring sessions available, and this means that there is an option for almost everyone, regardless of age or skill level. The menu in the tutoring cafe is always changing, and you can also customize your tutoring time by choosing which sessions you would like to have together. Overall, if you are looking for a unique way to spend a great family break, Tutoring Cafe is the perfect choice.

Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentences There are three basic sentences types. They get their names from their structures. The structures can be either simple, joined as equals, or joined with a subordinate. Ill explain. What is a simple sentence? A simple sentence has a subject and a verb and sometimes an object or complement. The subject is who or what the sentence is about. Best 5 Math Apps For High School Students - by TutorNerds

Best 5 Math Apps For High School Students - by TutorNerds Tips From An Orange County Private Tutor: Best 5 Math Apps For High School Students Math classes, of course, are core subjects; however its also one of the most difficult subjects for about half of high school students in America. Long gone are the days when we simply did arithmetic. Todays high school students will be doing calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced math that generally was not required until college. In order to thrive in today’s world of super math, there are some great, and often free, apps that students can use to help them along the way (READ: 5 Awesome SAT Apps).                         via androidpit.com 1. Graphing Calculator by Mathlab This graphing calculator app includes important concepts such as algebra, polygraphs, implicit functions, parametric equations, and inequalities. Many students’ brains will be buzzing just hearing those terms so why not try out this app for both high school and college? One nice thing about this app is that it can replace very expensive old-fashioned handheld graphing calculators. Although it’s advertised as free, depending on what type of computer or mobile device a student has, they may have to pay a small fee of about $5. This is pretty reasonable considering that an old fashioned graphing calculator costs well over $80. 2. Math Ref Math Ref is only $.99 and provides students with a unit converter, which is especially helpful as a timesaver so that students dont have to continually look up different conversions or make needless mistakes. Math Ref can be used for linear algebra, trigonometry, derivatives, integration, vector calculus, differential equations and more basic math such as algebra and geometry 3. MyScript Calculator MyScript calculator is an app that transforms stylus or finger handwriting on a mobile device into more readable handwriting. Countless students of any age have made careless math errors because they cant read their own handwriting. MyScript turns the illegible handwriting of a student rushing to get homework done into readable and easily computable writing. This app is simple yet effective. 4. Calculus Math App Lite Finally, there’s a math app for the right-brainers out there. Calculus Math App Lite provides students with interpretations of mathematical theories while, at the same time, providing artistic depictions. This is a great idea for the calculus students out there who would rather be spending time drawing pictures or reading a book. Calculus Math App Lite provides narrated tutorials on the basic concepts of calculus, videos to introduce beginners to the entire world of calculus, and information about its history and theory. This will be especially helpful for students who dont want to do something simply because they are told, but rather want to know why this is an important concept to learn. 5. Trigonometry Formulas The Trigonometry Formulas App provides users with basic trig formulas on their mobile device. This is great for students who are taking their first trig class or who are simply reviewing trigonometry for college entrance exams. This app provides tables for derivatives and integration, a list of formula groups, and a full list of formulas. With math being more stressful than ever and the Common Core curriculum and college entrance exams integrating more advanced math in 2016, its important for students to become comfortable with advanced math subjects such as calculus and trigonometry at a younger age. Students should also practice formulas on a daily basis so that theyre able to do well in their math classes at school as well as be prepared for those important exams. Remember, in math, practice makes perfect but theres no reason why students cant make the practice easier and more fun (READ: Ask a Private Irvine English Tutor: Writing Apps). That all being said, apps will only help you so much. If youre struggling in math, and find yourself falling behind, dont hesitate to sign up for one of our excellent Orange County math tutors. Hypnosis To Learn a Language Here Are the Facts!

Hypnosis To Learn a Language Here Are the Facts! Hypnosis? To Learn a Language? Here Are the Facts! You are getting sleepy. You are getting very, very sleepy. You will only respond to innovative language learning techniques.  When you read you are getting sleepy, did you immediately picture a swinging watch or hypnotic swirl? We did.But  hypnosis isnt all the bad stereotypes and desperate TV/movie plot twists that youre familiar with. In fact, theres some evidence that it might actually be useful for learning a language.Like the idea of learning a language while sleeping, the basic premise behind using hypnosis to learn a language is to ease the learning process. While you wont learn  Chinese,  French,  German,  Japanese  or Spanish  from scratch in your sleep or under hypnosis, sleep learning and hypnosis may have the potential to give you a leg up.Most language learning hypnosis focuses on using audio programs  in a new context. Rather than being asked to actively participate, youre usually asked to relax, which makes hypnosis a low-stress technique you may want to try.But what exac tly is hypnosis? Why should you try it? What resources are available for hypnosis for language learning? And, perhaps most importantly, does it actually work?Well guide you through all you need to know about using hypnosis to learn a language. Hypnosis? To Learn a Language? Here Are the Facts! What Exactly Is Hypnosis?Hypnosis has not always enjoyed a great reputation. Its sometimes considered a parlor trick. Worse still, some people fear its potential to shape their minds without their control. However, the possibility of shaping minds is exactly why hypnosis is so popular. The American Psychological Association (APA) calls hypnosis a therapeutic technique. Usually, a professional will help you enter a relaxed state before providing suggestions that are meant to shape your thoughts and behaviors. The idea is that with a relaxed mind, people are more open to suggestion and can therefore be influenced to make positive changes.Youre probably mostly familiar with hypnosis for its use i n things like smoking cessation  and weight loss. Indeed, there are more studies on the use of hypnosis for these purposes, though results are mixed. In summation, hypnosis is definitely not just a parlor trick, and it could offer many real-world benefits. While theres not enough evidence to be certain of these benefits for language learning or anything else, hypnosis might still be worth a try.So Then, Why Try Hypnosis for Language Learning? While there are not enough studies to support hypnosis as an effective language learning technique, some limited studies are optimistic about the possibility that hypnosis could be beneficial for language learning. For instance, some research suggests improvements in spelling and pronunciation. And any possible advantage is inherently appealing!Plus, some hypnosis programs aim to increase confidence. Confidence is important for language learning since you need to have enough confidence to try. While theres little research to show whether hypnosis can actually improve confidence, everyone could use a cheerleader! In general, resources for hypnosis language learning dont actually claim to be able to teach you a language in its entirety, but as hypnosis is a laid-back and relaxed method by nature, its easy to combine with resources that more thoroughly target a language like FluentU. FluentU takes real-world videosâ€"like music videos, movies, talks, vlogs and other interesting tidbitsâ€"and turns them into personalized language lessons. Finally, trying new learning techniques can help you experiment to see what works for you. 3 Tips for Learning Any Language

3 Tips for Learning Any Language Learning a language can be challenging, so here are 3 tips from one of our italki tutors on what to focus on in order to reach your goal! 1) LEARN THE STRUCTURE Learn the structure first, with limited lexicon, by making up a lot of sentences, with the help of a native friend or teacher. Languages are all about composing sentences, recounting facts and expressing any kind of idea or thoughts. You do not need to know a lot of words in order to make up many useful, real-life phrases. Learning a language should be mostly a constructive process: the more sentences you build, the more you understand and remember the syntax of the language. You cant learn by reading only. You have to make the effort to write and speak, that is to communicate. There are two aspects to every language: syntax and semantics. Semantics is usually quite easy: a good dictionary can tell you the meaning of an unknown word. If a word has many possible meanings, you will be easily able to tell the right one from the context. Idiomatic expressions can be difficult to look up in a traditional dictionary, but there are many online resources out there to help you with that as well. Syntax is the real tricky thing, because word order can be very different from your own language, as well as the usage of verbs, which is very important to master correctly as soon as possible. Here you absolutely need a native to tell you whether the sentences you invent are grammatically correct or not. It is helpful to be aware of all correct word orders in which you can express a certain sentence. In order to become fluent, you need to build into your brain a sort of grammar machine for the target language: an automation that is able to generate all grammatical sentences and recognize the ungrammatical ones. This is where a native teacher can and should help you most. 2) RELATE WORDS Do not try to memorize words, but instead relate words between each other both in the target language and in the languages you already know. Compare the structure of the languages, too. There is a lot of contamination between languages. Depending on the relative geographical nearness of people speaking different languages, you will find more or less cognates or loan words. Sometimes a word is borrowed by a language indirectly from another language, e.g. English borrowed many words from French, and French from Latin. These words happen to be similar to Spanish or Italian, because of the common Latin origin. Anyway, you do not need to know the exact etymology of each word, which sometimes remains controversial, in order to speak a language. Just exploit both similarities and differences between the languages. They both can help you to remember, so it is important you are aware of them. Never try to learn a word by heart, without understanding a bit of its internal structure.  (*) We cannot learn a language using word lists and we cannot remember a lot of words without relating them. Paradoxically, it is easier for us to learn many related words together than unrelated words separately. Also, you have to use words to make sentences many times until they go into your permanent memory and you will never forget them. A good teacher can help you to practice the same words in different contexts and will not introduce too many new words at a time. He will also never pretend you to learn by heart sentences where you do not understand the meaning of each word and the grammatical structure. Both are needed if you want to reuse what you have learned to make new, different sentences. (*) For instance, the word for both why and because in Italian is perché. By learning this word and recognizing its structure, you can easily learn three words in one, since per is for and che is what. So why/because is for what in Italian. By the way, because in English is not the contraction of be cause but comes from by cause. The latter would be per causa in Italian. Causa comes directly from Latin. Because of me in Italian is just by cause my/mine or per causa mia. It is not by my cause, because (no pun intended) in Italian we put an adjective after the noun in order to restrict its sense: per mia causa would be correct but there is no stress on mia if put before the noun it refers to. In other words by putting mia after causa we mean mine and not anothers cause and that equates to stress my. This is typical of Italian: you can revert the order with other adjectives as well, not only possessives. 3) USE A METHOD WITH YOUR LANGUAGE PARTNER Use a method to structure your language exchanges and make them more fruitful. With a proper method you can make the most of the usually limited time available to practice languages with native speakers on an exchange basis. First, make sure your language partner has the same level of knowledge of your mother tongue as you have of his/her native language. Also, make sure he/she is a native speaker of the language you want to learn. Second, arrange the exchange so that both languages can be practiced at the same time, so neither will get bored. Third, do not be afraid to ask questions to clear up any doubt, e.g. ask about word choices and correct structure and possible variations on the same sentence. Avoid using complex grammar terminology, which most native speakers do not know. Answer the same questions for your own language too, so your partner can learn something as well. Fourth, build up complex sentences step-by-step, by starting from simple ones, adding to them and joining shorter sentences to obtain longer ones. A funny and informative way to practice with a language partner is to simulate a conversation between two people in a real-life situation e.g. between a customer and a salesperson in a shop, two friends in a pub, two students taking an exam together, two friends who meet up after a long time etc. The possibilities are endless and no personal questions are involved. Invent the dialog on the spot, without any prior preparation, starting from a sentence and adding more sentences as you go. In turn, you and your partner make up the next sentence of the dialog in the languages you want to learn, the other checks whether the sentence is correct and translates it in the other language. So you both make the effort to make the sentence in your target language and have their phrase checked by a native. Any mistakes should be pointed out by trying to explain both what is wrong, why it is wrong and how to make the sentence grammatical. You can first pronounce a sentence and then write it down in a text chat. The exchange transcript can be copied and pasted and used for brushing up by both. What Tutors For Children At Home Can Do For The Whole Family

What Tutors For Children At Home Can Do For The Whole FamilyThere are many benefits that a person can get from hiring a tutor for their children to learn at home. Tutors help children with learning as well as children with some of the main hurdles of learning.Tutoring also helps children overcome some of the problems that they face with communication and social skills. One advantage of having tutoring is that the tutor will be able to help with everything that needs to be taught, such as words, grammar, writing and speaking. All of these are important for a child to succeed in school.Teachers should be able to learn how to teach in a very different level of children. However, it is sometimes hard to have a teacher that is well versed in all the areas of teaching that are required for a certain grade level. A tutor for students at home helps them to build on the lessons that they would otherwise have had a hard time with. This is a great way to learn and is a great way to help out in a teacher's job.It is also more fun for the child when the tutor is their friend. This way, both the child and the tutor get to develop a friendship as well as learn how to communicate with each other. It also increases the child's confidence and self-esteem and boosts their self-confidence as well.Online schools provide tutors for children at home. While there are other tutoring services in the local area, it is cheaper and better to pay for tutoring at home as it is more convenient. Online schools also offer their services free for students.Tutoring services allow parents to keep track of what their child is doing at home. This will keep parents informed about what their child is doing at home as well as any mistakes that they have made that would have been avoided. This is a very helpful tool for a parent as it allows them to keep up with what their child is doing in the house. As mentioned above, there are other services that are available but the one mentioned above is more bene ficial for the whole family. While it may cost more for the individual parent, it is often cheaper for the whole family as well. All in all, it is important to find a good tutor for children at home.
